About
What I Do
I work with small businesses and individuals, helping them to define their brands and understand their customers. By clarifying brand principles, organizations can better serve key stakeholders, maintain higher sales, grow membership levels, and accomplish other goals more easily and effectively.
My Background
I am a native Oregonian, growing up just outside of Portland. I attended both the University of Oregon in Eugene and Portland State University, collecting a total of three degrees. My first interest was physics, but I soon shifted my focus to math and then political science. Studying people helped me gain insight into why they behaved as they did and helped me develop the tools necessary to predict opinion and behavior.
Later, I returned to Portland for graduate school in the Master of International Management program. My love for understanding people and their motivations led me to study marketing. The subfield of branding was still relatively unexplored, so I focused my efforts there and have been working as a marketing and branding strategy consultant ever since. Through branding, I plan to shake up the world of business and change the way companies and individuals work together.
